Sports event tickets can carry a sports fan from game to game, all year round. There is a sport for every season and while it’s great to play these games yourself, they are even more fun to watch live.

A World of Sport

No matter what time of year it is, you can always find a sports league swinging into full action, building up to their championship series. Recently, with the advent of globalization, a range of new sports has become internationally popular. Games like rugby and cricket have begun to gain fan followings in Canada and the United States. There are a number of games that have adapted to suit the different climates of the world. Ice hockey, for example is popular in countries like Canada, while field hockey is the game of choice in warmer climates.

While sports event tickets are in demand the world over, the definition of what a sport is differs from place to place. Some people would argue that, video games are a sport, while others would say it isn’t. Bowling, billiards, and golf are seen as more relaxed, non-violent sports that are focused on precision rather than speed. In other sports like boxing or football, both speed and muscle power play an important role.

It’s always exciting to be with a cheering crowd, watching the athletes performing their fullest However, locating and buying the tickets for this excitement is not that easy. Sports tickets are always in high demand, no matter what the game is or where it has been played. Usually, sports tickets are purchased by five different means. All of them have their own pluses and minuses.

Most of the grocery stores will sell sports tickets in the home town. Generally, football, basketball, baseball, hockey and soccer tickets are sold at the grocery stores. These stores will also have the layout of the stadium so that you can choose your preferred seats. However, this method of buying sports tickets is restricted to local sports. You can’t find tickets to international sports in these ticket stores.

Secondly, sports tickets could be purchased by directly visiting the stadium. This option to purchase the sports tickets depends on the nature of the sport. If it’s an anticipated match between two most popular teams, the tickets would have been already sold out. Hence this method of purchasing the sports tickets is not the best.

Here is my final take projecting which rookies will be selling NBA tickets next season after being lottery picks.

1. Chicago Bulls – Derrick Rose, Guard, Memphis

This debate seems pretty much settled. The Bulls get a hometown kid who can step in and start at the point for them immediately.

2. Miami Heat – Michael Beasley, Forward, Kansas State

I believe that the Heat want O.J. Mayo and will send this pick to Minnesota for the third pick and a future first round pick of the Heat’s that the Wolves currently own.

3. Minnesota Timberwolves – O.J. Mayo, Guard, USC

This pick goes to Miami in the aforementioned trade and the Heat get a player whose ability to sell NBA tickets may be unparalleled by any other rookie.

4. Seattle Sonics – Brook Lopez, Center, Stanford

Ours is a nation of sports. With so many sporting teams, and not only of the four major sports – Baseball, Basketball, Football, and Ice Hockey, there are bound to be sporting events all year round. We have the pre-season games, the games during the sporting season, and the post-season games. We have those major championship games, various college sports, and even sporting events that are shown live on TV. Despite so many sporting events that are held day in and day out, in a multitude of sporting arenas all over the United States, sports event tickets are always in great demand, and very difficult to procure.

The best and the most simple way to lay your hands on sports event tickets is by visiting the venues of the events, but is it practical? Sporting events are held in so many venues in so many different cities. Even if you wish to enjoy sporting events in one city, say New York City, there is a diversity of sports being held in a variety of stadiums all over the city. Visiting each and every venue of the games you wish to see will be improbable, if not impossible.

With the 2008 NBA Draft readily approaching, here is my second take projecting which rookies will be selling NBA tickets next season after being lottery picks.

1. Chicago Bulls – Derrick Rose, Guard, Memphis

The Bulls get a franchise player and a Chicago native in Rose.

2. Miami Heat – Michael Beasley, Forward, Kansas State

Getting a number one talent in Beasley with the second pick is a nice consolation prize.

3. Minnesota Timberwolves – O.J. Mayo, Guard, USC

I think Brook Lopez fits more of a need, as I’m sure the Wolves would like to pair Al Jefferson with a center, but I’m going with Mayo because teams usually take the best player available regardless of positional need and Mayo’s ability to sell NBA tickets may be unparalleled in this draft.

4. Seattle Sonics – Jeryd Bayless, Guard, Arizona

I’ve had Bayless slotted here since the get go, but now there are a lot of rumblings that the Sonics love Russell Westbrook and Brook Lopez. I’m sticking with my guns, for now, and going with Bayless.

Round 1

Los Angeles Lakers (1) vs. Portland Trailblazers (8): The Lakers are built to win a championship and are probably in their prime as a team. The Blazers could certainly win a championship, but a couple of years from now, not this season. The Greg Oden-Andrew Bynum matchup should be a great one between two of the best young centers in the game, but the series as a whole should be pretty one-sided. (Result: Lakers in four.)

New Orleans Hornets (2) vs. Dallas Mavericks (7): Three years ago, most people would have laughed at this matchup, saying the Hornets are no match for the Mavericks. Well, some people may laugh at it now, but for the exact opposite reason. Chris Paul has turned this team around and New Orleans finds itself as a real contender for the conference title. Dallas’ window seems to have closed, an occurrence that was not helped by last season’s Jason Kidd trade. (Result: Hornets in five.)

One of the best ways to pass the time is to watch a ball game, whether it is basketball or football or whatever kind of ball game, but what better way to watch it than to be there in the stadium along with 2 million fans and spectators enjoying the game, yelling and cheering along!

Watching a sports event live at the stadium is totally different than watching it on the television. When you are witnessing a game in which giants are involved, you are not only witnessing history, but are being a part of it. Whether it is MLB, NBA or NHL events, the excitement and fun that you can witness at the event is indescribable.

To get a Nba, Nhl, Nba Tickets or Concert Tickets for the desired  event is a big problem. There are many websites and companies out there which provide you the tickets of all the events with ease.

If you are pondering where to look for tickets to the next WWF match, or the upcoming Britney Spears concert or Slipknot’s tour,  the world wide web is the right resource for you.

The major sports events nationwide, such as baseball, football, basketball and hockey can either be very easy to find tickets at a reasonable price or extremely difficult. Many factors play into the supply and demand of sports tickets for events and venues. Some factors include the popularity of the team, how well the team is doing any given year and the rivalry match up of the event. Sports tickets for the New York Yankees versus the Boston Red Sox in the final game of the season with the winner moving onto the wild card for example, these tickets were probably sold out at the beginning of the season and locating them at a reasonable price is most likely impossible. There is always a way to locate any sports tickets for an event and with some tricks and tips even the above example can be accomplished.

If you were building an NBA franchise, which player would you like to start a team with? When pondering this question, one must take skills, age, potential, leadership, commercial appeal and a number of other factors into consideration. Let’s examine some potential candidates.

LeBron James: The obvious choice. They don’t call him King James for nothing. James is one of the two best players in the league (Kobe Bryant). He’s an owner’s dream thanks to the media exposure he gets, which inherently equals dollar signs. LeBron is a physical beast on the court. He’s both stronger and quicker than almost anyone that guards him. When he’s on the break, you might as well just get out of his way. James has carried the Cavaliers since he entered the league in 2003. He took a mediocre supporting cast to the NBA Finals and is the best player to start a franchise with. It doesn’t hurt than he sells more NBA tickets at http://www.stubhub.com/nba-tickets/ than any other player in the league, either. A solid sidekick and a team of role players is all you’d have to put around this guy to contend for a title.
