The man who has represented England’s National Soccer team for the past decade will get one more chance to play for the squad. Coach Fabio Capello has called on Beckham to come play even after announcing that Beckham’s international career was over.

Beckham recently became the leader for the most international soccer games played by any player in England’s history. He’s represented the soccer team in 115 games. This number would have been higher if he wasn’t hurt before the 2010 World Cup, which was upsetting for all supporters.

At this time England’s preparing for their next major event; the 2012 European Championship. Now that David is 35 years old, England won’t need him. They’re looking for young blood as they can’t keep living in the past. However, all of England must agree with Capello’s decision to give David the opportunity to say farewell and play one more international match.

Capello wants to see Beckham say his farewell in a final match at Wembley Stadium. If there’s anywhere it should be England’s home field is the perfect setting. The public knows of Capello’s plan, but they also have certainly been informed that Capello won’t take Beckham for any competitive matches moving forward.

Steve Nash rookie card, went from times of trouble to joining a list of those that had made history. He become one of the 11 men that are the only one’s in the history of the NBA to win Most Valuable player, too many times. He weighs less than 200 pounds and is six feet and 3 in . high.

In his first 2 seasons playing with the Phoenix Suns, things were not the best for him. It was in 1996 that he had arrived from Santa Clara and was met with Jason Kidd on the team, who did very well at that time. Within these times he averaged below 10 points a game and a few assists.

In 98, he was exchanged off to Dallas, TX (there are some Mexican jokes about this). When trying to play in Dallas, his game took a turn to all-star status. In ‘04, listed as a free agent, he decided to return with the Suns. The Suns today, would and could not imagine playing without having him.

Considering that just about none of us were alive at the turn of the 20th century, it’s hard to write this article without at least a trace of bias.

If we weren’t around to see these athletes in action, we’ll never really know just how much they meant to the world at the time. Despite the fact that we’ve heard all of the stories, it simply isn’t the same. Having said that, I’m going to do my best to account for this too.

It’s hard to narrow this list down to five, but these are the five men who I think had more meaning to their sports than any others. This is all subject to opinion, and I’d love to hear yours.

The first person I’ll mention is a baseball player whose impact could never be felt today like it was a century ago. Ty Cobb was one of the most influential baseball players in baseball history, and is largely responsible for the sport’s popularity.

As far as boxing goes, Muhammad Ali was the most high profile boxer to ever grace the sport. His personality and charisma were second to none, and the same can be said about his boxing skills.

Soccer is famous throughout the world as a game of skill and excitement. It is full of twists and turns and is not a very easy game to predict.

There are many people throughout the world that try to make a name for them-selves in this game. Unfortunately not all of them make the grade when it comes to becoming a world renowned player.

Here are just a few of those that did manage to succeed on the field of play.

The Brazilian Maestro has to be the first person to mention. Edison Pele was just a 15 year old boy when he made his first class world cup debut for Brazil. This was a feat in itself and one in which he also managed to score two goals. He also went on to become known the king of soccer and was elected as the athlete of the Century according to the International Olympic Committee.

Pele had a wonderful 25 year playing career that produced around 1000 goals to his name. He was also selected as being one of the top 100 most influential sportspeople of the twentieth Century according to Time magazine.

This year’s World Cup has gotten off to an interesting start. There are both positives and negatives about the tournament that we will discuss.

I’ll preface this by saying I am a big soccer fan. I want the sport to thrive and hopefully it will catch on in the United States some day. It is just hard to watch when most of these games end with one goal scored.

In this World Cup, FIFA has introduced a new soccer ball that is supposed to be faster and more unpredictable with its trajectory. Maybe it is giving players too much unpredictability.

There’s no doubt that part of the “problem” is defenses have been playing very well. Communication on the defensive end has been improved for most teams.

I don’t know if it’s an American thing, but every soccer fan I have spoken to cannot stand the noise makers. If we as viewers are constantly distracted by the sound, how can the players not be? Plus, I don’t see how it benefits either team, it’s a pretty constant noise flow.

Since this is the first World Cup tournament hosted in Africa, it is possible that many of the teams are simply not used to the change in weather and altitude.

Every athlete wants to give his best performance at game time. Being able to jump, run, shift and shoot are critical to someone hoping to make a difference on the scoreboard in a tough game of hoops. To play your best, it helps to wear the best footwear available.

The harder you play the harder your shoes have to work. If you play often you need to replace your shoes frequently. Quality athletic shoes are necessary for a good performance but they have a limited lifespan in you’re a professional or frequent player.

High quality athletic shoes are key to a player who must move rapidly and transfer their weight quickly. They require shoes that will provide good support and cushioning. There are a lot of excellent athletic shoes on the market.

Players with different skills need different types of sneakers.

If you are a strength player, look for a shoe that provides significant ankle support. Such players need to be agile and fast, so a lightweight shoe is ideal.

It’s important to note, that shoes designed for tennis aren’t suitable for a game of basketball and could cause injury. They don’t have the traction need to stay on your feet on the basketball court.

While the Eastern Conference playoffs have been disappointing this year, the NBA Western Conference Finals has been full of feel good stories. There have been sweeps and 7 game series, both of which have been very enjoyable. Here is a brief analysis of all the games that have taken place so far in the Western Conference Playoffs.

In the first round, the Los Angeles Lakers faced the Oklahoma City Thunder. The Laker’s coach Phil Jackson got this series off to a heated start by making cheap shots about the way that Thunder star Kevin Durant plays the game, insisting he lives at the foul line.

Being the defending champions, the Lakers earned the right to be confident going into the playoffs, but it would not be an easy path to the second round. The Thunder took the Lakers to 7 games, ultimately losing , but letting the world know that they will be a contender for years to come.

The Utah Jazz faced the Denver Nuggets in the first round as well. This was an emotional series for the Nuggets, who were missing their coach George Karl as he battles throat cancer. The Jazz took care of business and eliminated the Nuggets 4 games to 2.

The Oklahoma City are one of the weakest teams in the NBA, and playing in the Western Conference doesn’t exactly help the team’s cause. Despite this, there’s a loyal base of fans in Oklahoma City, happy to see their team play whenever they have the chance to.

Part of the reason for this is because expectations are high in Oklahoma City, as many believe good things are in store for this team. Thunder fans were also happy to finally have an NBA team in town, embracing them every chance they could get.

The Thunder are coming from the great basketball town of Seattle. The Seattle fan base wasn’t thrilled with the move to Oklahoma City and hope one day Seattle can receive a team again – with many teams struggling it might be a long wait in Seattle. Fans may cheer for the Thunder until they receive their own team again.

An NBA superstar in the making, the hopes of this franchise rest in the hands of Kevin Durant. He could easily win the scoring title in 09-10, and should probably make the All-Star team too.
