People like to think they are tough. They break a few boards and swagger around and make grunting sounds. But once you read the following list of feats, you are going to know that these fellows aren’t anywhere near Bruce Lee tough!

Do you want to be faster than a snake taking a does of steroids? Try placing your hands at your sides and striking. Bruce Lee could manage a punch from this relaxed stance in five hundredths of a second!

You think those cannon balls you call biceps are a big deal? Try holding a dumb bell against your chest, then extend your arms straight out. Bruce Lee could hold 75 pounds extended for 20 seconds!

Oh, you don’t have a 75 pound dumb bell gathering dust under your bed? Okay, let’s try something that won’t be quite so difficult. The Little Dragon could do 50 chin ups…with only one arm!

In fact, it is likely that Bruce Lee had more power in his fingers than you have in your whole body! He could do one arm push ups on a thumb and pointing finger. Remember, we’re talking about push ups on only one hand here!

Bruce Lee’s fingers were so powerful he could stick a finger through the side of a filled soda can! And this was back in the day when cans were real! They were made of steel, and not this thin, aluminum crap!

Here’s one of my favorite Bruce Lee tricks, a trick that would make any magician hang his head. If you placed a dime in your palm and held it out, Bruce Lee could snatch the dime…and leave you a penny! Now that is freakin’ fast!

Now, I know you are looking at that one inch pine board you just broke and are squirming a little, but don’t. Bruce Lee was a one of a kind, and he got where he was by incredible hard work. So, instead of feeling bad, just get to work and make your own self…Bruce Lee tough!

If you want to be tough, try clicking over to <noindex>25 Martial Arts Books</noindex>. This is 25 whole books, teaching a wide range of arts, for an incredible price! You work your way through the 25 books and you’ll be <noindex>Bruce Lee</noindex> tough!

The real effects of Martial Arts practice are quite a bit more involved than most people think. Most people, you see, study Tang Soo Do or TaiChi chuan for a couple of years, and they are just tapping into the real benefits of the martial arts. Then they get distracted by marriage or kids, their only involvement is really through watching people like Jackie Chan or Jet Li, and their path has effectively ended.

You recognize these fellows because their uniforms are hanging in the closet, as if they would wear them tomorrow, but they don’t use them. This is a sad thing, because it is like buying half a car, or wearing one sock, and they don’t understand what could have been. They don’t understand that a little work over time and the world would have opened up to them in unimaginable ways.

It takes 3 to 4 years to achieve first dan black belt in many martial arts styles. It used to take less time, but a lot of stuff has been added to the arts to confuse them. If you separate the muddle of arts, the money making and trophy influences and that sort of thing, then you can actually get to black belt within a year.

At any rate, when a person achieves a black belt they usually gain this thing I call CBM (Coordinated Body Motion). They lose a bit of reaction time, and this makes them quicker, and their movement becomes smoother. Unfortunately, many systems obsess on power, or other things that disrupt the natural movements of the body, and this pretty effectively ends the training cycle.

If the martial art system they are studying is an effective one, they still run into things like marriage and kids and bills. They don’t see the worth of the long path, you see, and they don’t make the necessary sacrifice to walk it. Sooner or later, they quit working out.

If they do stick to their studies, however, after about two decades of working out a person masters his art. This can actually be accomplished in 3 or 4 years, but most teachers don’t know enough about the art of teaching to help the student make it. They may know the martial arts, but teaching is an entirely different sack of squirrels.

Once a person has become a martial arts master he starts to know the true extent of his abilities. He understands how he has become more aware and intuitive, and he finally realizes that he has been building abilities that other people don’t know anything about. He becomes a larger human being, a giant, really, and he tends to be patient with those who are still like children to him.

The fighting disciplines of the east are ancient ones, and the effects have been well charted. In modern times, however, with the introduction of corruptive methods and lack of adherence to what works, these effects are not so clean cut. It is easy, however, to correct your martial arts practice, and to attain what the ancients used to attain quickly and easily.

This is a phenomenal site which helps people understand what has been done to arts like Gung Fu and Kenpo and others. 1

Mixed martial arts is one of the popular sports in America today given that it’s still in its infancy stage. And like any other sport, it will take some time for this sport to take off. Many were very interested to participate in this sport because it appeals to a lot of people.

Having the right accessories is important to those who want to get involve in this sport. All you need is here at budovideos.com/shop/customer/home.php. It is there that you will need some of the following supplies in order to safely and effectively practice mixed martial arts.

Gloves for marial arts

Mixed martial arts clothing

MMA fight shorts

Gloves for kickboxing

All these martial arts accessories will make every practice fast and easy. To avoid getting yourself hurt and to be successful as well, you would need other pieces of mixed martial arts equipment.

Hand wraps are often underestimated, but it is very important that you have these on at all times. Hand wraps are used to protect the small bones in the hand and wrist. Even though these bones are very little, if they are damaged it can cause all sorts of discomfort for the practitioner of mixed martial arts.Seeing as how you will be using your hands and wrist a lot in this sport, you will definitely want to make sure your hands and wrists are protected at all times. It’s not the most important mixed martial arts equipment you need, but it’s one of those must-haves. And they’re available at budovideos.com/shop/customer/home.php.

Do not forget about the fighting gloves you will need, they are to the fighter what gasoline is to a car. Each person has his own preference when it comes to the type of gloves they’ll wear. But in any case making sure you have ones that are best suited to the purpose will be something you will want to make sure of. Mixed martial arts usually 4 to 6 ounces and half the weight of standard boxing gloves.

The lighter weight and the ease of inflicting damage on an opponent is actually safer to fighters. Getting knocked out is better than getting pounded repeatedly. You can check out fighting gloves and boxing gloves at budovideos.com/shop/customer/home.php.

What is the difference between boxing gloves and MMA fighting gloves? There is a difference between MMA fighting gloves and regular boxing gloves. Understanding these differences is rather easy. MMA gloves are different from boxing gloves because they have finger separations to help the fighter grapple effectively. The biggest part of mixed martial arts is grappling. Same with the other parts of the sport making it really versatile for anybody who wants to test it out. Summarized below are some of the different types of MMA.

Kickboxing

Kung Fu

Tae Kwon Do

Wrestling

Sambo

Muay Thai

These types make up the most exciting sports around because of it diversity and mass appeal. And when you know where to find the right mixed martial arts apparel you will be properly prepared.

If you are determined about <noindex>mixed martial arts</noindex>, then you need to learn where to go to see the genuine martial arts supply. All these items I explained in this article are found at www.budovideos.com/shop/customer/home.php. Unique version for reprint here: <noindex>The Right Martial Arts Materials Can Make Practicing MMA Smooth As A Breeze</noindex>.

Defining the best Shaolin Kung Fu is a tough question, considering the high quality of this martial art. I mean, people don’t teach it just to make money, they teach it for passion and love of art. Still, we should be able to focus in on how to isolate the best gung fu.

First, we can usually dismiss such arts as Lohan Quan off the list. The reason for this is because they are a different kind of wushu. Wushu is actually a martial art developed, or at least altered and sold by, the communist government of China, and one does not feel like learning something for correct political behaviour, and from which the self defense techniques have been removed.

So we stay with the old versions of Chinese Gung Fu, the versions that leaked out of China before the cultural revolution. These were the styles passed down through the generations, given from family member to family member to create a true martial arts lineage. These are the Kung Fu styles in which the fires of true self defense techniques were stoked liberally.

Many of these old Gung Fu schools claim they are descended from the Shaolin Temple, but there is no real proof that can be verified. Still, people accept certain martial arts styles as the real deal when it comes to these claims. Thus we end up with three specific martial arts which have good lineage, and present such high quality of Shaolin technique that they can be looked to as a possible answer to our question.

There are two types of Praying Mantis styles, the north and the south, and these can further be broken down into styles. The main feature of this style is the hooking and clawing movements, which enable one to keep an opponent trapped long enough to dispatch him. This is a strong contender, but tends to be a bit specialized.

There are also many styles of Ving Tsun Gung Fu, which is the art made famous by Bruce Lee, and which features the close in strategy of the Sticky Hands exercise. Sticky Hands has one of the best methods for creating ‘closed eye’ intuition. It does have several flaws, however, such as immobile stances, workability concentrated in on specific ranges, and so on.

The strongest kung fu, but lacking some of the close in work of the previous arts mentioned, is Hung Gar. Hung Gar is also taught as Choy Li Fut, Fut Ga, and so on, and it is considered the quintessential shaolin martial art in China. For all it’s strength, however, it does have certain stylistic problems, as the techniques don’t always relate to real life situations.

Now, of the three arts, I believe Praying Mantis may be the strongest. However, this is a personal opinion, and one should really study all three and focus on the points which are of most personal benefit. Really, in the final analysis, the best Shaolin Kung fu is going to be that kung fu which has been personalized, and which fits the person studying it the best.

Eight ninjas with Super Secret Spetznatz karate techniques? I know what you're thinking. You're thinking that this is possibly the worst hoax ever perpetrated on a gullible, wanna be karate student.

Eight ninjas with Super Secret Spetznatz karate techniques? I know what you’re thinking. You’re thinking that this is possibly the worst hoax ever perpetrated on a gullible, wanna be karate student.

Now the catalogue of this kind of crap is huge. Over the past couple of decades I have seen–take a breath–super secret ninja death commando spetznat cyberneurotic Green Beret government doesn’t want you to know eight barroom killer tricks. And the list is a lot longer, but you know the kind of tripe what I’m talking about.

I’m talking about cheaters who bilk you out of hard earned bucks by promising you the moon, then give you watered down, generic outhouse stuffings and call it the real martial arts. I saw one the other day, Captain Chris, or Major X, or whatever he called himself. He’s still selling the same bullwash and calling it gold, and getting rich off unsuspecting, honest martial arts practitioners.

Now you and I know the simple truth…there is no excuse for good, hard work. If you want to be able to do karate, or taekwondo, or whatever, then you have to work out, and work out long and hard. Fortunately there is one other simple truth…working out is a real blast!

When you work out you build up a sweat, you get rid of toxins in the body, your mind starts to think clearer, and you get this world beating confidence. A confidence that makes you feel like a giant. A confidence that tells you–yes, you can beat the world!

Now, the fact behind these ‘I beat eight skinhead bikers in a bar in the Ozarks’ is pretty easy. The author has gotten a hold of a few videos, or watched the internet, and he realizes that the right hand can block both the a right punch and a left punch, and most attackers punch, and if you watch the shoulder you can see when he’s going to move. So he puts together eight tricks where you attack eight different parts of the body, and gives it a phony scientific label.

Look, I’m not kidding, it really is that simple, and it really is that shabby. I mean, why not just go ahead and study the art, throw yourself into another culture, an exotic discipline, and really learn something? When you really know the true martial arts you will laugh loud and long at those killer commando death techniques, those so called youtube experts with their snippets of bushwah, those super secret CIA agents who learned from Shaolin Monks in a secret temple.

Those people who try to sell you ‘become a killer quick’ courses are just reaching into your pocket and stealing your money. It’s best if you toss out those comic book notions and find a real martial arts teacher and learn the truth. Look, there is nothing wrong with studying on your own, you just need to seek out the real art and not fall for that super secret spetznatz karate techniques.

If you want the real martial arts, I’m putting out 25 books for only $10. This is six entire arts, studied over a 40 year period, and which will make you into a true martial artist. This is my answer to the cheaters who want to cheat people, so head on over to <noindex>25 Martial Arts Books</noindex>. 1

This is a very easy and intuitive way to weaken your opponent simply by using an energy flux concept. This concept can be used before you use any of the kung fu self defense techniques, or before karate kumite. You can use it when any confrontation arises which is going to require you to use physical force on somebody.

Now, it won’t knock him out, I can’t guarantee a win, that is going to depend on the degree of dedication you apply to your normal martial arts training. But it may weaken him very briefly, and give you the edge in launching the first strike. I don’t know about you, but even a slight edge is something I want to take with me to a karate fight, or any kind of martial arts fight.

Now, to set this flux trick up, you need to know something about the workings of the body, and about the workings of the energy of the body. There is a main channel for energy which runs right up the center of the body and down the backbone. This pathway is a meridian, it is a pathway for major energy flow in the body.

What we want to do is disrupt this energy, however briefly, and cause your foe’s body to move more slowly. We are going to do this by reversing the energy flow of that main meridian. This is very easy to do, and should slow the opponent’s body down just long enough for you to…you know.

To make sure you understand how this trick works, have a work out partner stand with his feet shoulder width apart and his arms extended straight out to the sides. Now, press down on his hands gently and take note of how much force you have to apply. Second, place your finger on his neck and draw a line down the center of his body to the navel, and now press on his hands.

You should notice that he is much weaker. Now ‘zip’ your finger from the belly button to the neck, and you will notice he is stronger. This quick (1 to 2 seconds) motion slows his energy down, or returns it to normal speed (depending on which way you go), and the result is weaker or stronger.

Practice this with several people. Don’t tell them what you are doing (until after), just practice zipping and unzipping energy. After a while you will actually be able to stand back and trace the path with your moving eyes, and cause weakness or strength.

Now, depending on you and your dedication to the art, this may or may not take a while to accomplish. It will happen sooner if you are a dedicated martial arts fanatic, and you practice your kung fu techniques religiously, and, especially if you have matrixed your martial art and understand how energy flux theory works. That understood, that is how you use the energy flux in any kung fu self defense techniques.

Do you want a powerful Karate kick! A kick so powerful you could kick a bully in the belly and make him barf his beans? A kick so strong that a mule runs the other way when he sees you coming?

Well, you can certainly have one of those kicks! In fact, all of your kicks should be that strong! All you have to do is construct one, little training aid.

Now, before I tell you how to make that training device, I want to offer a warning. You have to make sure that all the segments of your kick are in proper alignment. You have to make sure that the ankle is set at the proper angle, the hips are turned the correct angle, and, most important, that you sink your weight so deep into the earth you could strike oil!

If the ankle is crooked you’re going to break your ankle when you execute your kicks. Trying punching with a crooked wrist, you’ll feel the pain, and this is what happens with the ankle if you don’t have it in the proper position. Walk on the edge of your foot, the ankle is bent, and it won’t be long until it starts yelling bloody murder for you to straighten up and fly right!

If the hip is not set in just the right angle, you won’t be able to put any weight behind your kick. The hips are the cornerstone of the body, they have to be angled right, or the weight of them won’t go into the kick, and the whole body is in danger of being out of order, out of sorts, and out of commission right in the middle of a beat ‘em up throwdown! You simply must have the hips put into the attack, or your attack is going to be weak sister!

Now, I’ve told you the importance of making sure your kick is done right, and it’s time to tell you how to make a train aid that will change your feet into rocket launchers! Get yourself a big wooden crate, the kind with thick boards, the kind that can take being dropped by a crane onto a pier and come out laughing. Now, double layer it, nail on some more boards so it is double thick, and can take double the whomping!

Put a car in the crate, or at least a motor or axle or something equally weighty. Or fill that puppy with sand and rocks, line it with plastic first, then pile in the debris. Now you’ve got something that weighs more than one of those sissy everlast bags…you’ve got something that weighs even more than one of those bullies you’re about to make a sissy crybaby out of, you’ve got yourself a real romper stomper, kicking bag.

Now, kick it in the center, and make it move, make it jump, make it dance like a little girl doing the hula. Kick that sucker until it slides across the ground faster than a drag racer getting the green light. Kick it until you’re legs are stronger than telephone poles, and that’s how you end up with powerful kicks that can knock a bully so far into next next week that he needs a calender to know what time it is.

Want to hand that bad guy a king size bump on that brick he calls a brain? Go on over to <noindex>Monster Martial Arts</noindex> and study some real Martial Art. 1

There will be preferences if you want to learn Martial Art, but there are also a couple of things that are fairly obvious, and that we will be able to agree on. Interestingly, I came across this data many years ago, and have used it myself. It deals with analyzing the value of media in transmitting data. The worst method for absorption of data is the movies or TV.

This is because the martial art techniques that you will see on the screen, whether it is the art of Bruce Lee, Jet Li, or whoever, has been altered for the camera. Yes, it may look good, but stuntmen and camera cuts are making it look good.

Almost as bad as the screen, and it might even be considered a toss up with these two, is the internet. While there can be pearls out there, the dreck is overwhelming. Dial into the internet for the purpose of actually trying to learn something (as opposed to just surfing for fun) and you engage a common brain that doesn’t know any better, pseudo experts, overwhelming amounts of data with no real instruction or even organization of data, what’s cool, advertising that hasn’t and can’t be tested for worth, and so on.

The third weakest method would be to try to learn from magazines. Now, this is not to be discounted, magazines do give you an overall viewpoint of what’s going on–and not just in the traditional arts–and can afford a good education as to what is out there. Good writing and the intent of the magazine to find out what the reader is really interested in, and the tendency of the worthwhile ads to stick around, makes this a viable source of finding out about different martial arts.

Fourth weakest would be to learn through martial arts videos. Now, I shouldn’t be saying say weakest, but third strongest, because one can focus on a specific art, explore that art in depth, and really get some great instruction. To be truthful, it’s a toss up between this and the next item, almost a tie, but I settled on the order you see because there are just so many terrible videos out there–it’s just too easy to string some fighting techniques together, slap a pseudo scientific label on it, and use internet marketing to blast it past common sense.

Second best and of very high value, when it comes to the learning process goes to martial arts books. With books you might not get the visual look, but if you have any instruction in a training hall, books will do the trick. Furthermore, you can get the most detail, in depth theory, the most fully thought out concepts in books–and if you can get a video to go along with it then you really are on to something.

The best method for learning the the combat discipline is to take a martial arts class at a good dojo, one where they teach not just the blood and guts, but the heart and soul. You’ll find friendships that mean something, systems of combat that have been proven over thousands of years, and some pretty darned good times. Add to that that you can ask a question about the most minute detail at any time, and the worth of this method is undeniable.

People learn according to opportunity and means, thus, none of the things I have mentioned can be entirely discounted. And, the smart student will do a blend and educate himself so that he truly learns what he wants to learn. In the final analysis, every man is self made, and learning Martial Arts is the best way to really make oneself.

Whether you want to study Karate, Shaolin, Aikido,or some other art, <noindex>Monster Martial Art</noindex> has the best DVDs in the world. 1

Shotokan Karate is one of the most significant karates styles in the world, so many styles are derived from this system, and thus are tainted with some very incorrect concepts. Thus, whether you study Shito ryu, Isshin Ryu, Kyokushinkai, or any style that utilizes the Heian kata, you probably are making the errors I am detailing in this article. It doesn’t mean your karate stance is a disaster, it just means if you make a couple of adjustments you can improve it.

A good karate stance will be a perfect balance between mobility and solidity. Mobiity is when one can launch their body quickly through space. Solidity is when one can grip the ground with their feet.

In the Shotokan kokutsu dachi stance, however, the ability to be mobile or solid has been compromised. If you study the feet you will see that they are pointing in directions that are more than ninety degrees apart. This means the stance can’t make up its mind whether it is supposed to be mobile or solid.

If the rear foot is angling away from the target the major muscles are not pointing towards the target. The foot being in the incorrect position means that there is not going to be enough traction for the foot. The leg being pointed in the wrong direction means that the major thrusting muscles of the leg can’t be properly utilized.

in addition, the hips will be angled improperly, and when one pushes with the leg there will be a ‘power leak,’ in the structure. That is to say that the hips will not want to support the entire weight of the push. This can be severe enough to tweak the back, and even (in extreme cases) lead to problems with lower spine.

To fix this stance all one needs to do is turn the rear foot to about 45 degrees or less towards the target. This will set up the foot for more traction, and set up the major muscles for the push when one launches oneself towards the target. Of course, this is going to alter the fundamental nature of the stance.

Thus, when you turn the foot correctly, you are going to have to figure out the proper angle of the hips, and set the weight more on the rear leg. Doing this will prepare the body for maximum push, but shotokan instructors will resist this alignment of the body for a simple reason: it lacks the feel of shotokan power. But this merely proves that the system has been corrupted for the feeling and sake of power, and not for the balance between sinking the weight and launching the body.

To get past this, Shotokan masters have set the system up to rely on overly aggressive front stances. What they have done is okay, but only in specific instance, and the proof is in the fact that the kokutsu dachi stance is more for rooting than for shooting. Thus, you have a choice at this point, do what you are told in Shotokan Karate, or other classical martial arts styles, or analyze the physics I have presented here and alter your stance in accordance with these physics.

The difference between art and slop in shotokan karate is in the physics.
